The life story of Laura H. is still a hit. People can't get enough of the story about the female traveler who managed to return to the Netherlands after a year with Islamic State (IS). Journalists reported extensively about her. NRC journalist Thomas Rueb wrote the bestseller Laura H. about the 'caliphate girl'. Then came the podcast. Laura H. had public appearances: KRO-NCRV paid her four hundred euros for a TV Christmas interview with Margriet van der Linden. Theater group Oostpool made a performance, which can be seen via a stream performance in April, now that the tour has been canceled due to the lockdown. And then the 'exciting' six-part TV series is yet to come.
