The Dutch Parliament has voted in favour of recognising the crimes committed against the Yazidis as a Genocide. Yazidi Legal Network welcomes this decision taken by the Dutch Parliament, a decision we have strongly been pushing for.

The first step has been made towards justice for the Yazidi community. The next steps is relevant action such as supporting proactive cooperation in the investigation and the prosecution of perpetrators of these crimes and more psychosocial support for the victims not only in the region but also here in the Netherlands.
